XENON HID LIGHTING KITS

The degree that an HID kit improves the field of view with a more visible light is indisputable, as illustrated here in the photos. More importantly, if they are properly installed and vehicle matched this improved performance can be obtained with reduced glare for the opposing driver, too!

Sidebar: The comments that accompanied these PIAA photos clearly state the tester’s complete dissatisfaction with their performance. The PIAA photos show there is a problem that the installer did not apparently realize in his test. A problem that a beam setter would have immediately spotted. Hundred watt bulbs of this type usually have a tab on the base that must be removed or flattened for them to fit into an automotive OE lamp housing, or they might have been bad bulbs. Either way, the lamp filament appears to be misaligned with the reflector causing the beam focal point to shift down.
